Background & Experience
Christopher M. Dziak graduated from the University of New Mexico School of Law with honors. He has since become admitted to practice law in New Mexico. Prior to pursuing a law degree, Chris graduated with honors from the University of New Mexico with a degree in Electrical Engineering.
Before Chris pursued a career based in the law, he worked as a research assistant for the Center for High Tech Materials (CHTM) under the renowned Dr. Luke Lester. Chris was initially pursuing a master’s degree in Electrical Engineering. Through his employment with CHTM, Chris was able to contract through Syracuse University to work at the Air Force Research Laboratories (AFRL) in Rome, New York. It was after Chris did work with the AFRL that he decided to pursue a career in law.
Chris’ family owns and operates Associated Insurance Professionals, Inc., (AIP) which has been doing business in New Mexico for over 30 years. Chris’ work history includes working for AIP, where he served as a Manager dealing with various aspects of selling insurance. It was Chris’ involvement with the family business that sparked his desire to learn more about business in general; in fact Chris is currently five classes away from completing a masters in Business Administration from the University of New Mexico.
Because of his experience, both hands-on and theoretical, regarding business, Chris’ tends to emphasize a transaction-based practice. Chris’ legal education was focused primarily in business oriented subjects, bankruptcy, tax subjects, and estate planning. University of New Mexico School of Engineering – Graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering with honors. Numerous Dean’s list awards and honor roll.
University of New Mexico School of Law – Graduated with a Juris Doctor in Law with honors. Emphasized in business and related courses including estate planning, taxation, and non-profit law.
University of New Mexico: Anderson School of Management – Taken numerous business classes just five classes away from obtaining a Masters in Business Administration.
University of Granada, Spain – Chris studied Spanish culture and language while he lived in Spain during a college study abroad program.
