Background & Experience
Keith G. Findlay, like his two partners, graduated early from the University of New Mexico School of Law in December of 2010 and passed the New Mexico Bar Exam in February of 2011. Prior to this legal training he was the valedictorian of Valley High School’s class of 2002 and graduated with degrees and honors in history and legal studies from Claremont McKenna College, in Claremont, California, in 2006.
Prior to law school, Keith worked for two years in Beverly Hills, California at the law firm of Seton and Associates as the Associate Director of Client Development. Here he focused on identifying the issues facing Los Angeles and California-based client charities and working with them to maintain tax exemption, avoid IRS and state taxation penalties, and to improve their general services and operations within the non profit community. In these two years Keith also gave over fifty presentations and seminars on the various issues facing directors, officers and volunteers in their charitable operations.
Keith’s loving parents have been actively involved in the Albuquerque business community for over 30 years. His father, John Findlay is currently the President of CASCOM Rio Grande, a marketing firm specializing in rodeo sports, particularly those presented by the United States Team Roping Championships. His mother, Nola Findlay is a realtor and home mortgage specialist currently working with U S New Mexico Federal Credit Union. His younger brother, Nicholas Findlay, is a budding film editor in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Outside of the law, Keith has two major passions; travel and North London’s Arsenal Football Club. Keith has lived and studied in Edinburgh, Scotland, Barcelona, Spain and Dusseldorf, Germany, while also having been lucky enough to spend time travelling throughout Central and Latin America. The second passion stems from his childhood and lifelong love of soccer. Having played at a competitive level as a child, then at the varsity level in college, Keith has never quite forgotten his love for the game, and for his beloved Gunners!
Outside of the law firm and these two overriding passions, Keith plays beach volleyball weekly, pretends to go to the gym often, and struggles with his addiction to audiobooks. Keith is conversationally fluent in Spanish and improving almost daily. Most importantly, Keith is a bright young man, with tons of energy and drive.
